Making The Offer

After narrowing your options to a specific home, you’re ready to make an offer, secure your financing and purchase the home.

The Offer:
Once you’ve selected a home, it’s time to make your offer. Because the agent knows both your situation and the sellers, his/her advice can be invaluable in making an acceptable offer. Of course, the seller has the option to accept, reject, or counter. If the seller counters, you may continue to counter the counter offer and negotiate terms and conditions until you arrive at an agreement. You simply put the ball in motion by putting your preferred price and terms in writing and presenting it to the seller through an agent. Remember, you both want the same thing: a smooth mutually beneficial transaction.
